Design with the highest resolution in mind
Start big. Keep it crispy. Design at high resolution from the start, using formats that scale. That tiny logo might look fine on your phone screen now but will fall apart when you need it for a printed banner later.
HipTip: Screen vs. Print Resolution
- For digital: 72-150 DPI works fine
- For print: 300+ DPI prevents pixelation (or it’s gonna look like Minecraft)
- True vector formats are scalable and don’t have a dedicated DPI. Just because a JPG is saved as an EPS or TIFF doesn’t make it vector.
